The recent sailing of the Lady Adele earlier, marked the final delivery of wind farm components to the Port of Inverness for the Moy Wind Farm development just south of Inverness. In total there have been 14 ship visits to the port with the Lady Adele being the most frequent arriving 11 times since her first visit at the beginning of June. Sinclair Browne, Chief Executive at the Port of Inverness commented, “The last few months have been very busy here at the port. As well as the Moy development we are handling machinery for both the Corriegarth and Dumnaglass Wind Farms. In addition, our regular port users have also been very busy as well and as always we are delighted to play our part in boosting the economic well being of not only Inverness but the wider Highland region as well.” The picture shows the Lady Adele lying alongside the North Longman Quay waiting to sail having completed her discharge.
For the Moy development, the machinery came from Lemwerder and Rostock both in Germany.
