Inverness Harbour Trust has appointed two new trustees to the board that oversees the operation of the Port of Inverness. Catriona Maclean and David Taylor took up their positions recently.
Catriona is now Head of Rural Economy Division at the Scottish Government and was formerly Chief Executive of The Crofters Commission. A native of Glasgow, she returned with her parents to their native Lewis where she was brought up. Catriona is also a Lay Member of the Law Society for Scotland.
David is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and has over 40 years’ experience in the construction industry. He was recently Regional Manager for AECOM in Inverness where he was responsible for the delivery of infrastructure projects in both the public and private sectors.
Commenting on their appointment, Chairman Angus Mackenzie said, “I am delighted to welcome both Catriona and David onto the board. Their skills will add considerable value to those already in place and will greatly assist the further development of the port going forward. Their appointment was carried out in accordance with the Guidelines set out by Transport Scotland.”
Paying tribute to outgoing Vice-Chairman Chris Fraser, Angus continued,” I would also like to express thanks, on behalf of everyone associated with the port, to Chris, for his considerable input during his tenure which has greatly benefitted all associated with the port.”
